Our Methods

Greater Houston, TX.  USA

We employ a number of qualitative and quantitative methods to examine your organization with the goal of determining types and locations of innovation points.  Based on your needs and intention, we may use one or many of these methods to reach your goals.  Here are just a few. Hover over the method for more information.

Needs Assessment

We conduct interviews with representatives from all levels of your organization to determine where challenges, pain points, and opportunities to improve exist.  The variety of inputs from different perspectives allows us to validate our findings.

Models & Sims

Visualizations help create a shared mental model in your organization from employee to senior leadership, providing an environment that everyone can understand, and encouraging data-driven & creative decision making. We create interactive models of your organization to simulate the effect of the introduction of innovative changes.

Process Maps

We use observations, extant data, and expert inputs to create a fulsome representation of how your business works.  These maps help us identify where in the workflow innovations would be most effective, as well as the nature of potential interventions to achieve innovation goals.

Root Cause / Lessons Learned Analyses

Looking back via root cause analysis and our original lessons learned analysis, provides insights into what may or may not work when it comes to innovative changes.  It can also inform effective planning for when, where, and how to recommend interventions.  It supports proposed estimates of success of identified changes.

Systems Analysis

We believe that an organization does not operate in a vacuum and that the whole is greater than just the sum of its parts. Systems analysis helps us look at the parts as they interact to make a whole in the mechanics of your workflow.  We use this to identify innovation priorities and their potential impact.

Risk Analysis

No decision making process is complete without understanding potential risks that come with the rewards of innovation.  Our risk analysis helps identify what kinds of tradeoffs or challenges you might expect to encounter when introducing innovative changes to your organization.
